I love the smell of Brisbane's new cross-river tunnel in the morning:
I filmed the return journey too, but thought another 2 minutes of tunnel might be too much - even though it was accompanied by "America - F*** Yeah" from Team America: World Police, followed by "Africa" by Toto. (When The Wah told me he wanted to drive through with Ride of the Valkyries playing, I'd decided to make a mix tape with other appropriately tunnel-esque music. While you may think "Africa" by Toto could not remotely be linked with tunnels - and you may be right - I challenge anyone to suggest that it is not good driving music for any occasion.)
It's a pretty sweet tunnel; and I certainly hope it gets used once the free honeymoon period ends.
In other news, the Winner of the Buyster Rugs competition will be announced soon. Apologies for the delay; it's been a crazy busy few days, and I want to give the entries proper and thoughtful consideration.
And as a somewhat interesting side-note, this is my 600th entry on The Bruising Adventures of Girl Clumsy. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I don't know. But feel free to leave comments/suggestions/ideas below.
